Lead, Data Protection Program

​Job Description & Summary

INQ Consulting Corporation is developing practical and accessible solutions for our clients to become and remain compliant with privacy and information security standards. INQ has developed a series of Data Protection Programs that target specific client data needs. These programs align with international data standards and support our mid-market clients with strategic compliance.     

What You'll Create and Do

Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:

As a Lead, you'll create a team of problem solvers with an entrepreneurial drive for change. You will:

  • Conduct gap assessments according to INQ’s data management framework and develop a tailored roadmap for compliance with information security and privacy standards

  • Develop and revise data-related policies and procedures that align with client needs and international standards

  • Provide advisory services for our clients on privacy and information security-related issues

  • Oversee the development of marketing materials for the Data Protection Programs

  • Grow the Data Protection business through business development and sales activities

  • Manage the Data Protection business as it grows including through the management of budget, expenses, human resource needs, among others

  • Report to the senior executive team on a regular basis

​What You’ll Bring to This Role

  • A firm understanding of cyber security frameworks such as those published by leading organizations

  • A firm understanding of privacy compliance requirements under leading privacy laws such as the European General Data Protection Regulation

  • Ability to translate framework for practical advice to clients

  • Demonstrated ability to grow and manage all aspects of a service delivery line (e.g., strategy development, budget management, etc.)

  • Leadership qualities to lead a project independently as well as with a team

  • At least 5 years’ experience in information security and/or privacy

  • Clear and articulate written and verbal communication skills

  • Presentation and report writing skills

  • Ability to develop and manage mid-level relationships

  • Good facilitation and delivery skills

  • The ability to work on several projects, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations

  • A passion for data work and a demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit
